Asia has long represented a key region of DRI’s work. The organisation currently works from field offices in Islamabad, Pakistan and in Yangon, Myanmar and it established a new office in Sri Lanka in early 2016. DRI’s engagement in Asia focuses on supporting civil society organisations, state institutions and political actors in order to strengthen their capacities to monitor, inform and shape political reforms through fact-based analysis and advocacy. The goal is to build institutions willing and able to accommodate public dialogue and empower civil society to engage in productive, well-informed dialogues.
