Debugging Georgia’s politics

The problem
We produced a report which highlights that Georgia has an extremely polarised political situation and ‘winner-takes-all’ political culture has created deep divisions and instability. Reducing political polarisation would help Georgia create a more democratic and pluralistic society.
The solution
We would like to bring together students, civil society, communications and digital specialists, and experts interested in the topic to brainstorm and propose how to raise awareness on the problem and how to communicate about negative effects of polarisation.
The plan
A group of people with different backgrounds, but interested in the topic apply on their own or as a team to participate in the CommunicaThon. Participants will get training on the topic to better understand the political polarisation and will get training on communications.
Participants will work in teams and propose communications solutions that can be applied to solve the problem and raise awareness on the topic.

- Read our summary report on polarisation
- Do you have some ideas already? Write them down. Be creative. It can be a social media campaign, a video, a set of infographics or online illustrations, ideas for online movements or challenges, online competitions or any crazy ideas which would help solving the issue of extreme political polarisation in Georgia.
- Do you know other people who you would like to work with? Give them a call and apply as a team.
- You want to apply alone? Just do it, we will team you up with other people during the event.
- Share with us some communication campaigns which inspire you. We will share them with others and let the creativity spread.
- Send your application by 07 July.
- After you apply, wait for the confirmation email or call. You will get it before 11 July.
- The event is free of charge, food and coffee will be provided!

ჩვენ მიერ შექმნილი ანგარიშის მიხედვით, საქართველოში პოლიტიკური მდგომარეობა უკიდურესად პოლარიზებულია. პოლიტიკურმა კულტურამ, სადაც „გამარჯვებული იგებს ყველაფერს“, უზარმზარი უფსკრული და არასტაბილურობა წარმოშვა. პოლიტიკური პოლარიზაციის შემცირება საქართველოს უფრო დემოკრატიული და პლურალისტური საზოგადოების ჩამოყალიბებაში დაეხმარება.
გადაჭრის გზები
გვსურს, მოვიწვიოთ სტუდენტები, სამოქალაქო საზოგადოების წარმომადგენლები, კომუნიკაციის და ტექნოლოგიების სპეციალისტები და ექსპერტები, რათა ერთად მოვიფიქროთ, როგორ გავზარდოთ ცნობადობა პოლიტიკური პოლარიზაციის ნეგატიური შედეგების შესახებ.
გეგმა
სხვადასხვა სპეციალობის ადამიანები, რომელთაც აინტერესებთ პოლიტიკა, ინდივიდუალურად ან გუნდთან ერთად უნდა დარეგისტრირდნენ კომუნიკათონში მონაწილეობის მისაღებად. ღონისძიებაზე ისინი გაივლიან ტრენინგს პოლიტიკური პოლარიზაციისა და კომუნიკაციის შესახებ.
მონაწილეები გუნდებად დაიყოფიან და შეიმუშავებენ კომუნიკაციის სტრატეგიებს, რომელთა გამოყენებითაც ჩვენი ამოცანის გადაჭრა და პოლიტიკური პოლარიზაციის საკითხის შესახებ ცნობადობის ამაღლება შეიძლება.

- უკვე გაქვთ იდეები? ჩაიწერეთ. იყავით ორიგინალურები: შექმენით სოციალური მედიის კამპანია, ვიდეო, ინფოგრაფიკების ან ილუსტრაციების სერია, ონლაინ პეტიცია ან გამოწვევა, ნებისმიერ რამ, რამაც შეიძლება საქართველოში უკიდურესი პოლიტიკური პოლარიზაციის პრობლემა გადაჭრას.

- გსურთ მარტო დარეგისტრირება? არ არის პრობლემა – ჩვენ ღონისძიების განმავლობაში დაგეხმარებით, სხვა ადამიანებთან ერთად შექმნათ გუნდი.
- გაგვიზიარეთ კამპანია, რომელიც თქვენთვის შთაგონების წყაროა.
- შეავსეთ აპლიკაცია 07.07 ჩათვლით.
- აპლიკაციის შევსების შემდეგ, 11 ივლისამდე, ჩვენგან მიიღებთ დასტურს წერილობით ან სატელეფონო ზარით.
- კომუნიკათონში მონაწილეობა უფასოა.
